Twenty-four years after its original run, Vampire Juujikai is heading to screen. The manga by Kyo Shirodaira, which serialized from 2003 to 2007 in Monthly Shonen Gangan, will receive a TV anime adaptation arriving in 2027.

Yuma Uchida is cast as Rose-Red Strauss, the protagonist, while Aino Shimada will voice Bridget Irving Frostheart, leader of the dhampirs. Mankyuu directs with character design from jimao, and the project is being produced by Zero-G and Liber.

This marks a significant revival for a series that's been dormant from the anime space for years. The casting alone signals serious investment—Uchida's recent work spans major roles across multiple franchises, and Shimada brings vocal range suited to the ensemble-heavy supernatural premise. With a dedicated production team and two decades of fan anticipation, Vampire Juujikai has the setup to make noise when it lands next year.
