The beloved drama Midnight Diner is coming back. After seven years off the air, the series based on Yaro Abe's manga will premiere on October 20, bringing back the full ensemble that made it work in the first place.
All 21 regular cast members are returning, including Yutaka Matsushige and Joe Odagiri. That's the kind of continuity that matters for a show built on character and routine — the diner itself is almost a character, and so is the rhythm of who sits at its counter.
