Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Remake Adds Hall of Fallen Foes and More Reveals
The Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 remake adds a Hall of Fallen Foes.
Nintendo has shared an overview trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and it's bringing some thoughtful new features to a game that already means so much to so many of us. The remake launches on November 5, and one of the standout additions is the Hall of Fallen Foes—a space where you can view statues of enemies you've defeated and even rematch bosses you've already conquered.
Beyond that, the remake modernizes the experience in ways that feel considerate rather than intrusive. You'll have access to traditional camera controls alongside motion controls, giving you the flexibility to play however feels most natural. There's also a new Threads of Time menu that sounds like it'll help you navigate the game's systems more smoothly.
Nintendo is also expanding the Zelda universe around this release. New amiibo figures for Young Link and Young Zelda are coming in 2027, and if you've been curious about the live-action film adaptation, that's set to open on April 30, 2027 as well.
The original N64 version of Ocarina of Time shaped how 3D adventure games could work, and this remake feels like it's respecting that while giving the game room to breathe on new hardware. The Hall of Fallen Foes, in particular, suggests Nintendo is thinking about what players might want from a second visit to Hyrule, rather than just polishing what was already there.
