Yamato's Seventh Film Teases October Debut With Classic 1980 Track

Bandai Namco Filmworks has released a teaser trailer for Nijiiro no Rinne (Rainbow-Colored Reincarnation), the seventh installment in the Space Battleship Yamato remake series. The film will premiere in Japanese theaters on October 30.

The teaser leans on nostalgia: it features "Ai Yo Sono Hi Made" by Akira Fuse, the ending song from the original 1980 Be Forever Yamato film. That's a deliberate callback—a signal that this new entry is reaching back into the franchise's history even as it moves forward.

The significance here is straightforward.
