Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5 has just received a fresh update that brings two new suits into the game, including the costume Tom Holland wears in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day film. The update, version 1.005.000, adds the 'Fresh Start' suit alongside the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls suit, giving players a couple of new looks to swing around New York in.

Beyond the suit additions, the update also brings some technical improvements for PS5 Pro owners. Enhanced PSSR support has been added to the game, which should help smooth out performance on the newer hardware. There's also a new Power Saver mode for those looking to dial back the visual intensity while playing.

The timing here makes sense—Spider-Man: Brand New Day is heading to theaters on July 31st, with preview screenings starting tomorrow. It's become pretty standard for games to tie in with film releases this way, letting players get a taste of what's coming to the big screen while they're already invested in the character through gaming.
