Patlabor's Iconic '80s Police Robot Gets a Deluxe 2-in-1 Figure

Threezero has opened pre-orders for a new Mobile Police Patlabor Ingram Unit 2 ROBO-DOU action figure at US$141.99, arriving in November. The 1:35 scale collectible has nearly 50 points of articulation and ships with a Unit 3 attachment—two robots in one box. The figure is built from zinc alloy die-cast, ABS, PVC, and POM. Multiple accessories come included, though specifics aren't detailed yet.

Patlabor began as a multimedia project by HEADGEAR and has spawned an original OVA anime series, manga by Masami Yuki, and various live-action adaptations over the decades. The franchise's hard sci-fi premise—giant police robots handling urban crime in a near-future Japan—gave it staying power that most mecha shows never achieve. The Ingram units are the workhorses of that world, and this figure captures the design that made them iconic. The franchise has been running since 1988.
