Studio Quad is bringing Jura's manga My Girlfriend's Friend to screen, with the anime set to premiere October 4, 2026. The studio has now released its main trailer, a fresh visual, and confirmed cast additions to the project.
Riho Sugiyama and Ryoka Yuzuki have joined the voice cast as Miyuki and Kaori's mother, respectively. Director Takashi Ando is helming the adaptation at Quad.
The series will release in two versions: an On-Air Version for broadcast and a fully uncensored Complete Deregula Version. Airots performs the opening theme "Gingira," while Ceui handles the ending theme "False Love."
The adaptation marks a significant release for the studio, with the dual-version strategy signaling confidence in the material's appeal across different platforms.
