Motoko Kusanagi is getting the articulated action figure treatment. S.H.Figuarts has produced an official figure of Ghost in the Shell's iconic protagonist, and it's available for pre-order now across major Japanese retailers including Amazon, AmiAmi, Bic Camera, and Yodobashi Camera.

The figure is priced at 9,900 yen and ships in January 2027. It comes loaded with the kind of detail you'd expect from the line: a flexible structure built for posing, multiple interchangeable expression parts, swappable wrists, and weapons options. So yes, you can actually make her do things.

For a character as visually defined as Kusanagi—the Major's minimalist aesthetic, that iconic pose, the whole cyborg-operative vibe—a Figuarts release is the obvious move. The line specializes in characters who need to look good in motion, and Kusanagi's been defined by fluid, precise action since the TV series aired. This figure is built to capture that.

If you've been waiting for a proper, poseable Kusanagi figure that isn't a statue or a niche collectible, this is it. Pre-orders are live now.
