MegaHouse marks Lupin III's 55 years with retro figurine

MegaHouse is releasing a special-edition Lupin III figurine in March 2027 to mark the series' 55th anniversary, and it's going straight for the nostalgia hit: both Lupin and Jigen are rendered in their original 1977 character designs.

The 1/20 scale figurine stands 90mm tall, with the accompanying car measuring roughly 140mm—compact enough to actually fit on a shelf without staging a heist for space. It'll retail for 16,500 Japanese yen, positioning it as a solid mid-range collectible rather than a museum piece.

There's something quietly smart about anchoring an anniversary release to the original look. Lupin III has cycled through enough visual iterations over five and a half decades that pulling from 1977 reads as a genuine nod to where it all started, not just another reissue.
