Japan Weekend Madrid 2026 has finalized its roster of Japanese guests for September 26 and 27 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium, and it's a genuinely solid pull across voice acting, music, and creative talent.

Voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi headlines the lineup—he's the man behind Tanjiro in Demon Slayer and Giorno in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Singer and voice actress Machico, known for her work in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, will also attend. The idol group Liella! from Love Live! Superstar!! will make their first appearance at the event, bringing the fan energy that comes with that territory.

On the music side, May'n, celebrated for her contributions to Macross Frontier, will perform. The band bôa—famous for the haunting "Duvet" opening theme to Serial Experiments Lain—rounds out the musical acts.

The creative minds behind some genuinely influential work are here too. Chiaki J. Konaka, writer of Serial Experiments Lain, and Yoshitoshi ABe, the character designer for the same series, will both be present. Composer Shoji Meguro, who scored the PERSONA series, completes the roster.

What makes this lineup work is the breadth: you've got contemporary anime voice talent, idol culture, established anime composers, and the people who shaped some of the medium's most visually and narratively distinctive work. It's not just a guest list—it's a cross-section of what matters in Japanese entertainment right now. Madrid's getting a serious event.
