Dark Summoner Dating Sim Gets October 2026 Premiere

I'm Dating a Dark Summoner will hit Japanese TV on October 4, 2026—and the newly released trailer confirms it's coming in three flavors: censored, less censored, and uncensored. That's a lot of editorial discretion for what sounds like a premise that probably needs it.

The anime adapts Kadokawa's manga series, which has been running in the online magazine Dra Dra Sharp# since 2021 and now spans nine volumes. Seiya Miyajima is directing and handling series composition, while character designer Takahiro Sasaki serves as Chief Animation Director. The production will also include a mini-anime, following the template of other Deregula program releases.

The theme songs are locked in: Ringo Coisio performs the opening "Zettai Kansei♡Kisei Jijitsu," and Mao Komiya handles the ending "AKUMA♰No?☆Hime♡Goto." Both titles suggest the show is leaning hard into its premise—which, given the three-tier content strategy, is probably wise.

The trailer's release marks the first concrete confirmation of when this particular dark-summoner romance will actually arrive. October 2026 is still a ways off, but at least now fans know exactly when to clear their schedules.
