Bleach finale delayed for quality—episodes 49-50 land Oct 19 & 26

The final two episodes of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War — The Calamity air October 19 and 26, but the studio delayed them to nail the landing. Episodes 49 and 50 were pushed back so the staff could prioritize quality improvements heading into the climax. After four cours of serialized storytelling with breaks between seasons, the series is now racing toward the finish line of the original manga's final arc, which spans volumes 55 through 74.

The Calamity debuted on TV Tokyo in July. A promo video released ahead of these final episodes marks the last promotional push before the story closes out entirely.

For a series carrying this much narrative weight across its runtime, the delay signals respect for the source material and the audience waiting for resolution. Bleach is ending on its own terms, not on a schedule.
