Gamescom: 19 PlayStation games revealed in Opening Night

Gamescom Opening Night Live in Cologne, Germany brought a substantial slate of announcements for PlayStation fans, with trailers and reveals spanning across 19 upcoming titles. The showcase painted a picture of what's headed to PS5 over the next couple of years, mixing established franchises with newer properties across a range of genres.

Some releases are arriving imminently. Mewgenics launches on September 8, followed by Aniimo on September 16. Both Control Resonant and Silent Hill: Townfall are set for September 24, with Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy arriving on August 27. Valor Mortis follows on October 13, and Path of Exile 2 will release on December 11.

The calendar stretches further ahead into 2027, where a significant cluster of releases awaits. Metro 2039 is scheduled for February, while Exodus and Turok: Origins are both coming in Spring 2027. Ananta launches on January 15, 2027. The year also brings Final Fantasy VII Revelation in Spring 2027, alongside several titles with confirmed 2027 windows but unspecified dates: Acornia: Mirror Worlds, Ontos, Rainbow Six Tactics, and Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons.

A few titles still have their release dates to be confirmed, including Exterminauts, a three-player co-op PvE action game, LEGO Skylines, a city builder, and Tides of Annihilation. Crimson Desert already has an enhancement update available now.
