Nakama Press and Mad Cave Studios, in collaboration with Tatsunoko Production, have officially announced an exciting new comic series inspired by the classic Samurai Pizza Cats anime. This middle-grade comic, written by Fred Kennedy and illustrated by Lorenzo Di Santo, is set for release on April 7, 2026, and will feature 200 pages of colorful storytelling.

The comic brings readers back to Little Tokyo, where chaos ensues as the villainous Big Cheese concocts a plan involving fish sticks, leading to a series of outrageous events including rock concerts, mecha-spiders, and even Vikings. This delightful adventure promises to be both entertaining and whimsical, appealing to long-time fans and new readers alike.

In addition to the comic, an action RPG titled Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past! is also in the works for launch across major platforms and PC via Steam in 2026. This game commemorates the anime's 35th anniversary and features the original English and Japanese cast reprising their roles for the trailer. The anime, known for its unique mix of humor and action, originally aired in the early 90s and has garnered a dedicated fan base over the years.

Crunchyroll previously streamed the Samurai Pizza Cats series, while Discotek has released it on Blu-ray, paying homage to its legacy in the anime community.

Fans of all ages can look forward to this nostalgic yet fresh venture into the world of Samurai Pizza Cats.
