CAPCOM has unveiled a short titled "Evil Has Always Had A Name" that promotes its upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem, which launches on February 27, 2026. This live-action film highlights the beginning of the zombie outbreak, offering fans a taste of what to expect in this latest installment.
Game Details
Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth main title in the series, introducing players to a chilling survival horror experience. Scheduled releases include platforms such as the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Capcom describes the game as a "Requiem for the dead. Nightmare for the living" and promises a new era of survival horror with immersive gameplay and rich character narratives. The protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, teams up with Leon Kennedy, marking a return for the beloved character in this new adventure.
Notable Releases
In conjunction with this launch, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village will also be released for the Switch 2 on the same day. Additionally, a Resident Evil Generation Pack will feature all three titles, encouraging both new and returning players to experience the franchise.
