New Staff and Cast Revealed for 'Hanazakari no Kimitachi e' Anime

The upcoming 'Hanazakari no Kimitachi e' anime has announced its main staff and additional cast during a special livestream.

During a special livestream presentation, the much-anticipated anime adaptation of "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" (Hana-Kimi: For You in Full Blossom) unveiled its main staff and additional voice cast on Sunday. The project will be directed by Natsuki Takemura, known for their work on "Go! Go! Vehicle Zoo," with Shigeru Ueda serving as assistant director, having previously helmed "Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi." Takao Yoshioka, recognized for "Horimiya," is on board for series composition while character design duties are entrusted to Shiyi Su, noted for "Dragon, Ie wo Kau." The musical score will be composed by Masaru Yokoyama, acclaimed for "Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!" and the sound direction will be handled by Jin Aketagawa of "Kowloon Generic Romance." The animation will be produced by Signal.MD.

The anime features an impressive voice cast including Yuuichirou Umehara as Minami Nanba, Jun Fukuyama as Hokuto Umeda, and Reiji Kawashima as Senri Nakao. Additional cast members include Kouki Uchiyama as Daiki Kayashima, Wataru Komada as Kyogo Sekime, Anan Furuya as Shinji Noe, Koutarou Nishiyama as Wataru Nihonbashi, and Yuuko Natsuyoshi as Julia Maxwell.

"Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" adapts the popular school romance manga by Hisaya Nakajo, which serialized in Hana to Yume from August 1996 to August 2004, culminating in a total of 23 volumes published by Hakusensha. An additional one-shot sequel was also released in November 2004. The English edition was licensed by VIZ Media and saw its volumes published between September 2004 and April 2008, followed by a re-release in 3-in-1 omnibus editions from March 2012 to April 2014.
