A new promotional video released at Anime NYC showcased an action-packed confrontation between beloved characters Dante and Vergil.

During the recent Anime NYC event, Netflix revealed exciting news for fans of the Devil May Cry franchise: the second season of the animated series is set to debut in 2026. Alongside this announcement, a newly released promotional video teases intense moments from the upcoming season, notably featuring a dramatic showdown between protagonists Dante and Vergil.

The inaugural season of Devil May Cry premiered in Japan on April 3rd of this year, consisting of eight episodes that introduced audiences to key characters such as Dante, Vergil, and Lady. Fans have eagerly anticipated season two since its announcement in April.

The show's first season received a warm reception, debuting at number four in Netflix's top ten programs, garnering over 5.3 million views within its first three days. It also ranked among the top ten shows in 87 countries, showcasing its international appeal.

Produced by the South Korean animation studio Studio Mir and created by Adi Shankar, the series features an engaging mix of action and storytelling. The opening theme includes the energetic track "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit, alongside an alternate version of Evanescence's new song "Afterlife," adding to the show's dynamic atmosphere.
