New Details on Fist of the North Star Anime

The AnimeJapan 2026 panel introduced the much-anticipated anime adaptation of Tetsuo Hara's classic manga, Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken). The panel disclosed the opening sequence, which features the theme song "Hallelujah" by the band Alexandros.

Game Crossover Announcement

Additionally, it was revealed that the central character, Kenshiro, will be added as a playable character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves in June as part of its Season Pass 2. This season will also introduce Wolfgang Krauser in April and an unannounced character in May.

Premiere Date and Streaming

Scheduled to premiere on April 10 at 1:00 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and BS11, the first two episodes will launch simultaneously, with the following episodes set for April 17. The series will be available for streaming worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.

The Story

The narrative follows Kenshiro, a martial arts master in a post-apocalyptic world, as he protects the vulnerable from violent adversaries while confronting figures from his past, including Raoh, who seeks to dominate the new world.

The original Fist of the North Star manga ran from 1983 to 1988 and inspired numerous adaptations, including a previous anime series and films.
