The official website for the anime spinoff "Fist of the North Star: Elegy of Ken-Oh's Army Grunts" has unveiled its first full promotional video. This video showcases both the opening and ending theme songs that fans can look forward to.

The opening theme, titled "Blacker Co., Ltd.", is performed by Itsuka, while the closing theme, "Elegy of the Enemies", is by The Canbellz.

Overview of the Story

Set in the post-apocalyptic year 199X, the story revolves around Nobu, who has found employment as a grunt in Ken-Oh's army. The tagline humorously states, "Three daily meals included, company room and board, no experience necessary!" As the narrative unfolds, Nobu navigates his precarious job where fatalities overshadow the number of applicants.

The cast includes:

• Shinya Takahashi as the narrator

The anime is being produced by Do-Raku, with Takuma Hase and Yūma Saitō as technical directors and editors. Daisuke Miura serves as the animation director, while Mirai Iwai takes on the role of art director. Seiji Miura is responsible for the music composition.

Premiere Details

Fans can catch the premiere of this intriguing new anime on January 5 on the AT-X and Tokyo MX channels. Previously, the original manga, which concluded in February 2020, launched on Coamix's Manga Hot app in November 2017. The final compiled volume was released in March 2020.
