The official website for the second season of My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru) recently announced two exciting additions to its voice cast, set to debut in episode 20. Maki Kawase will portray Asahi Ogata, a friend of main character Suzuka, who shares a passion for creating cosplay props. Joining her is Mayuko Kazama, who will voice Miyako Honda, a seasoned cosplayer and another of Suzuka's friends.

The anime premiered on July 5, airing on Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, and Gunma TV, with Crunchyroll streaming episodes shortly after their release. This season continues to build on the success of the first, which aired in January 2022 and featured a total of 12 episodes. The series is based on Shinichi Fukuda's beloved manga, which transitioned to a live-action adaptation that debuted in Japan in October 2024.

The plot follows Wakana Gojō, a high school student with a passion for traditional dolls, who becomes entwined in the world of cosplay after meeting Marin Kitagawa, a classmate with an outgoing personality. The manga began serialization in January 2018 and has recently entered a new phase with the "Tenmei" arc, which kicked off in January 2023.

With the release of new episodes and engaging character developments, My Dress-Up Darling continues to captivate audiences and solidify its place in contemporary anime.
