Over a decade after Dengeki Daisy wrapped its manga run, the beloved shōjo series is finally heading to screens. Crunchyroll announced at Anime Expo 2026 that it will stream the anime adaptation, with a 2027 premiere locked in.

Dengeki Daisy, created by Kyousuke Motomi, ran in Betsucomi magazine from 2007 to 2013 and earned serious fan credentials—North American readers voted it the best shōjo manga of 2010. The property has been dormant in animation form for years, making this announcement a genuine win for longtime followers of the series.

Studio Deen is handling the animation, with Sōta Ueno directing. The creative team includes Sawako Hirabayashi on script and supervision, character designer Ayaka Murakami, and composer Masaru Yokoyama handling the score. It's a solid lineup for adapting a manga that hinges on emotional beats and character chemistry.

The wait is finally over—mark 2027 on your calendar.
