The Demons Are Planning Something Good Gets 2027 TV Anime

Akuji Katō's manga The Demons Are Planning Something Good is getting the anime treatment, with a full cast and creative team now locked in for a 2027 television debut.

Director Takuya Asaoka will helm the project at TNK, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handling series composition and Hiraku Kaneko bringing the characters to life through character design. The voice cast includes Junichi Suwabe, Wakana Kuramochi, and Haruka Shiraishi.

The manga itself has already found an English audience through Yen Press, which licensed the series for release outside Japan. The story takes a comedic angle on the logistics of running an evil army—a premise that trades typical demon-lord drama for the mundane realities of actually keeping a dark organization operational.

With production details now public and a concrete 2027 window announced, the adaptation is moving from concept to execution.
