DC Comics is bringing a major crossover event to the Absolute Universe with Absolute Justice, a five-issue miniseries announced at New York Comic Con 2026 and launching in April 2027.

Jason Aaron writes the series, with artist Juan Ferreyra on illustrations. The crossover exists entirely within the Absolute Universe—DC's alternate continuity where creators have been reimagining core characters and concepts from the ground up—and won't touch mainline DC Comics continuity.

If you've been following DC's Absolute line, this is the event that brings the pieces together. The announcement signals DC's confidence in the Absolute Universe as a sustained publishing initiative, not a one-off experiment. A five-issue arc with Aaron and Ferreyra attached carries real narrative weight, and the crossover structure means multiple Absolute characters will converge in ways fans haven't yet seen.

April 2027 is still months away, but the early announcement gives the publisher room to build momentum through the Absolute titles already in rotation. This is the connective tissue that can turn a line of standalone series into a genuine shared universe.
