Cosmic Princess Kaguya! Anime Film Unveils Trailer with Songs

New Trailer for Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

Netflix has released an English-subtitled trailer for the upcoming anime film Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (Chō Kaguya-hime!). This exciting preview showcases two songs: "Watashiha Watashinokotoga Suki" performed by Yūko Natsuyoshi as Kaguya, composed by HoneyWorks, and the theme song "Ex-Otogibanashi" by Saori Hayami as Yachiyo, composed by Ryo from Supercell.

New Visuals and Adaptations

Alongside the trailer, a new visual and additional cast members have been announced. The film's staff revealed that the story will be adapted into a manga by Tarо̄ Yoneda, set to launch its first two chapters in Kadokawa's Comptiq magazine on January 9. Additionally, a novel adaptation by author Naruto Kiriyama, featuring illustrations by Asao Urata, is scheduled for release on January 30.

Music Release Schedule

In the lead-up to the film’s premiere on January 22, a series of music videos by various Vocaloid producers will be streamed weekly. The lineup includes:

Film Details

Directed by Shingo Yamashita, known for his work on Pokémon: Twilight Wings and Jujutsu Kaisen, this film marks his feature-length directorial debut. Cosmic Princess Kaguya! combines animation efforts from Studio Chromato and Studio Colorido, highlighting character designs by Hechima and Akihiro Nagae.

The cast includes:

• Anna Nagase as Iroha
• Saori Hayami as Yachiyo

This film promises an innovative twist on the classic Japanese legend The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter set within the virtual realm of Tsukuyomi. Fans can look forward to a rich blend of storytelling and music when Cosmic Princess Kaguya! premieres in January.
