The isekai comedy Chillin' in Another World With Level 2 Super Cheat Powers is getting a second season, the production committee confirmed following the first season's strong reception earlier this year.

The original creative team is sticking around for round two. Director Yoshiaki Iwasaki and scriptwriter Megumi Shimizu, who helmed the first season that aired in April 2024, are expected to return. J.C.STAFF, the studio behind the adaptation, will continue production.

The series follows Banaza, a merchant who stumbles into an unexpected second life after being cast aside by a magical kingdom—only to discover he's been granted absurdly overpowered abilities in the process. It's the kind of premise that thrives on the contrast between the protagonist's relaxed attitude and the ridiculous power fantasy unfolding around him, which apparently resonated enough with viewers to justify another round.

The source material, serialized by Miya Kinojo on Shōsetsuka ni Narō starting in 2016, has proven fertile ground for adaptation. With the core creative team intact and momentum from season one, the second season is positioned to maintain what worked the first time around.

No premiere date or additional production details have been announced yet.
