Captain Tsubasa 2 Drops August 28 With 110+ Characters

Bandai Namco Entertainment America just showed off what Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters will actually play like, and the new trailer confirms the soccer game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on August 28.

The game will feature 22 national teams and over 110 playable characters, giving fans of the long-running manga series plenty of roster depth to work with. The trailer highlighted various game modes, though specifics on what those modes entail weren't detailed in the announcement.

Pre-orders come loaded with cosmetics: a 2026 Japan National Team Jersey, the World Youth Jersey, and an Early Unlock Pack. If you want to go all-in, the Ultimate Edition includes five additional uniforms, two exclusive main menu themes, three ball customizations, and access to the season pass.
