In a recent announcement from Akita Publishing's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine, it was revealed that Bukimi Miki's popular manga series, SHY, will enter its "last battle" in the upcoming chapter set to be published on September 18. For those unfamiliar, SHY tells the story of a timid girl who becomes a hero during a time of global conflict, showcasing her personal struggles as well as her journey toward bravery.

Miki originally released SHY as a one-shot in January 2017, before transitioning to serialization in August 2019. The manga's latest 30th collected volume shipped on August 7, with the 31st volume scheduled for release on October 8. Fans of the series can also look forward to the upcoming 11th volume in English, releasing on October 28, courtesy of Yen Press.

Additionally, the series inspired an anime adaptation that began airing in Japan in October 2023, available for streaming on Crunchyroll, which also offers an English dubbed version. A second season of the anime premiered in July 2024, also streamed by Crunchyroll.

As the end approaches for this beloved series, both readers and viewers are eager for the final developments in SHY's story.
